Robbery (Vehicle Jacking) - 23 Division
A 25 year old female reports that on January 3, 2011 at approximately 2012 hours, she was driving her vehicle in the area of Finch Avenue West and Islington Avenue, when two male suspects approached her vehicle; two other suspects waited in another nearby vehicle. The suspects demanded that the victim exit her vehicle. The victim complied and the suspects entered the victim’s vehicle. The suspects then fled the scene driving eastbound on Finch Avenue West. The victim did not sustain any injuries. Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described persons in connection with this offence. Description of Suspect #1: Male, black, 27 to 31 years, 5’8” to 6’2”, 150 to 180 pounds, thin build, short black afro-styled hair. Suspect #2: Male, black, 27 to 31 years, 5’6” to 5’11”, 141 to 169 pounds, thin build. Suspect #3 and #4: Male, black, 27 to 31 years.

Robbery (Business) - 22 Division
A 54 year old female employee of Goodwill, 4975 Dundas Street West, reports that on January 3, 2011 at approximately 1800 hours, a male suspect entered the premises and approached the counter. The suspect walked behind the counter, produced a knife and reached over the victim removing a quantity of cash from the till. The suspect then fled the scene in an unknown direction. The victim did not sustain any injuries. Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described person in connection with this offence. Description of Suspect: Male, white, 30 to 35 years, 5’7” to 6’1”, 180 to 200 pounds, stocky build, brown eyes, light brown hair.

Robbery (Swarming) - 31 Division
A 21 year old female reports that on January 3, 2011 at approximately 1730 hours, she was at Price Choppers, 2699 Jane Street, when she was approached from behind by three female suspects. After a brief discussion between the victim and suspects, a struggle ensued. The suspects removed a cellular telephone and a quantity of cash from the victim and fled the scene in an unknown direction. The victim sustained injuries and was transferred to hospital by members of Toronto EMS. Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described persons in connection with this offence. Description of Suspect #1: Female, black, 25 to 27 years, 5’10” to 5’11”, 200 to 209 pounds, heavy build, brown eyes, long black curly hair with orange highlights. Suspect #2: Female, black, 24 to 25 years, 5’6” to 5’7”, 130 to 141 pounds, thin build, brown eyes, shoulder length curly black hair with highlights. A 28 year old female reports that on January 3, 2011 at approximately 1430 hours, she was in the area of Coronation Drive and Manse Road when she was approached from behind by two male suspects. One suspect produced a knife, held it against the victim’s throat, and made a demand for property. The victim complied handing over a quantity of prescriptions, cash and jewellery. The suspects then fled the scene heading in an unknown direction. The victim sustained injuries and was treated on scene by members of Toronto EMS. Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described persons in connection with this offence. Description of Suspect #1: Male, black, 20 to 25 years, 6’0” to 6’1”, 180 to 200 pounds. Suspect #2: Male, black, 20 to 25 years, 5’9” to 5’10”, 169 to 180 pounds.

A 26 year old female reports that on January 4, 2011 at approximately 0138 hours, she was in a vehicle in the area of Shuter Street and Church Street with six male suspects. The victim exited the vehicle and realized her purse was missing. At that time she attempted to retrieve her purse and one of the suspects grabbed her cellular phone. The suspect then pushed the victim causing her to fall to the ground. The suspects then removed a quantity of cash from the victim’s purse and tossed it out the window. The suspects fled the scene in a black Buick SUV in an unknown direction. The victim sustained minor injuries. Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described persons in connection with this offence. Description of Suspect #1: Male, white, 20-25 years, blond hair. Suspect #2-#6: Male, white, 20-25 years.

The suspects engaged the victim in a conversation and one of the suspects indicated he had a gun, although no weapon was seen. The victim made his good escape. Fire Undetermined - 12 Division
On January 2, 2011, a fire was discovered outside the west stairwell fire exit of a building at 1455 Lawrence Avenue West where two large garbage dumpster’s were engulfed in flames. Flames were reaching as high as the 4th floor exterior part of the building. Toronto Fire Services under the direction of Captain Malone attended and extinguished the blaze. Seven occupants were taken to hospital due to smoke inhalation as well as a fire fighter who sustained burns to his hand. Damage to the building and contents is unknown at this time.

Robbery (Mugging) - 55 Division
A 24 year old male, reports that on January 4, 2011 at approximately 1522 hours, he was in the area of Balsam Avenue and Queen Street East when a male suspect approached him and demanded money. The victim complied. The suspect produced a knife, stabbed the victim about his left forearm and a struggle ensued. The suspect then fled the scene northbound on Beech Avenue. The victim was transported by Toronto EMS to a hospital, where he was treated for his injuries and later released. Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described person in connection with this offence. Description of Suspect: Male, black, 29 to 30 years, 6’1”, 200 pounds, muscular build, brown eyes, braided black hair.

An 83 year old female, reports that on December 13, 2010 at about 0815 hours, she was advised by Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce Fraud Department that there had been suspicious activity on her account. A total of $20,089.12 had been transferred from her account to an unknown account which had been completed through online banking. No description of suspect available.

A 47 year old female reports that on January 2, 2011 at approximately 2240 hours, she was walking in the area of Mutual Street North and Gerrard Street East, when a male suspect approached from behind. The suspect pushed the victim and attempted to remove her purse but was unsuccessful. The suspect fled the scene in a westerly direction towards Church Street. No injuries were sustained by the victim. Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described person in connection with this offence. Description of Suspect: Male, white, 19-23 years, 5’8”-5’1-“, thin build.

Robbery (Home Invasion) - 43 Division
Two males age 20 and 24 years, one female age 27 years, report that on December 31, 2010 at approximately 0100 hours, four male suspects entered a residence located in the No. 43 Division area, two armed with shotguns and two armed with baseball bats. The suspects ordered the victims to the floor and removed their wallets and cellular phones. The suspects located a safe, instructed one of the victims to open it, struck him in the face with the butt of a weapon and threatened him with harm. The victim was unable to open the safe. The suspects then fled the scene in an unknown direction. One victim sustained minor injuries and will seek his own medical attention. No injuries were sustained by the other two victims. Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described persons in connection with this offence. Description of Suspect #1: Male, black, 20-22 years, 5’7”-5’9”.
